Sharon Henriques

She was born on October 23, 1939 in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Charles Wood and Maude (Moody) Wood.

She attended Johnson & Whales College and worked for Amica Insurance Co., W.T. Grants, and Backus Hospital Day Care Center.

She and her husband, David, were married on November 23, 1967 in Warwick, RI and settled in Norwich after their marriage.

Sharon was an active and long-time member of Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Norwich, a member of the choir, various committees and groups in the church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, shopping, and traveling with her husband and family.

She is survived by her husband, David, her son, Charles, his wife, Shilo, and a granddaughter, Olivia, of Lakeville, Mass and two nieces and a nephew.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Lee Memorial UM Church in Norwich followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich.
