Shirley B. Eliasson, age 92, passed away peacefully at Pierce Memorial Baptist Home on February 2, 2021. She was born on July 16, 1928 in Norwich to the late Raymond and Anna (Kukla) Bourne. She was married to Robert D. Eliasson on April 22, 1950 and was happily married for 67 years. Anyone who knew them, knows how devoted they were to each other as they could always be found together. Shirley was a long-time resident of Preston and was a devoted member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She was a founding member of the duet club and was involved in many church activities. Shirley was devoted to her family. Her kitchen was always open for family and friends to stop by for a visit. During those visits she was always there to listen, tell stories or share a home cooked meal. In her grandchildren’s eyes she is most famous for her French toast, which was often served for breakfast after sleepovers. She loved playing games with the kids, especially her favorite "Skip-Bo".

Shirley is predeceased by her husband Robert and her brother Walter Lamb. She is survived by a son Robert Eliasson Jr. and his wife Cindy of Hickory, NC, a son Richard Eliasson and his wife Carlene of Preston, and a daughter Nancy Babcock and her husband Kevin of Griswold. She also leaves 6 beloved grandchildren, Bethany, Cassondra, Katie, Matthew, Jason and Mallory as well as 15 great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thank-you to all the staff at Pierce Memorial Baptist Home for the care and love they provided, especially during this past year.
