Aunt Shirley came to Beaumont to stay with us for a short time. I think she was a teenager then. You could easily tell she and Mom were sisters. I think all of Mom's siblings (except Aunt Lil) stayed with us for short periods of time. I made a point of taking my daughters to meet each of Mom's brothers and sisters. The last time I saw Aunt Shirley was when my girls were probably 10 and 6. We met up at Moosup Pond. I am glad Aunt Shirley's suffering is over. My condolences to the family, my cousins.

I only remember seeing Aunt Shirley on e when she visited us on Beaumont, California. I remember how upbeat, happy & loving she was to all of us. I also remember how much she and my mom Ruth, looked alike. Prayers & peace go out to the Gauthier family.

My husband and I shared a wonderful dinner with Aunt Shirley and Eddie, when they came up to Alaska in 2009. I learned so much about Aunt Shirley, and the family. She talked about Gramma and Grampa, and all the kids. She was a lovely woman. I'm thankful for that brief encounter. God bless and keep her.
