Susan Elwell

She was born on January 4, 1927 to the late John and Antonette (Baldassari) Acampora in Bronx, NY. After graduating high school she worked as a secretary in the insurance industry while raising a family.

Susan was an active member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Preston. She loved the beach and loved her daughters and husband.

She is survived by her husband Harold, daughters; Debra Ann Guntner, and Joanne Ingves, a step-son; Joseph Elwell, brother; Bobby Acampora, sister; Olga Rio, grandchildren; Stephen, Mark, Benjamin, Kristofor, Justin, Tyler and Cortney, great-grandchildren; Devin, Emma, Sky, Brianna and Brandon along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers; Billy, Freddy, and Armando, sister; Anna Massa, and one grandson, Joshua.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 1pm – 3pm at the Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT. A Memorial Service will be held at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, RTE 165 Preston, CT on Friday, August 20th at 7pm. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
