Wanda W White Lewis

Wanda was born in Massena, NY on Oct. 30th, 1952 to the late Merton and Isabelle (Leroux) White. After graduating from high school, Wanda earned her RN, and received her MS in Public Health Administration. She worked at many hospitals in CT and RI with her last position being a Correctional Health Services Program Director for the State of CT. Dept. of Correction. On May 7th, 1994 she married her soul mate Michael Lewis who survives her.

Wanda was a loving person who lived her life to help others through her nursing care with her warm reassuring smile and kind nature. She enjoyed being with her family, friends and many pets as she always had enough love and forgiveness to go around.

Besides her husband Michael, Wanda is survived by her son Colton Lewis, daughters; Madeline Lemay and Deborah Demare, brothers; David White and wife Victoria, Brian White and wife Mary, grandchildren; Max Whitlock, Elise Lemay, Nathaniel Abcug, Reece Abcug, Faylene Nixon and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Jan. 11th from 4pm-6pm at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Cathedral of St. Patrick, 213 Broadway, Norwich, CT on Monday, Jan 12th at 10am meeting directly at the church. Interment to immediately follow at Beth-El Cemetery, 50 Lestertown Rd, Groton, CT.
