Webster Wadja (January 16th, 1965 - May 19th, 2025), of Norwich, CT, was a resilient, strong, and genuinely kind-hearted person who put everyone else’s needs before his. An avid sports fan, he was often found watching or listening to the Boston Red Sox, Oakland Raiders, or UConn basketball. He enjoyed listening to Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Rob Thomas, and attended numerous concerts every year. Web had a knack for baking the best and most raved about chocolate chip cookies in town. His love of travel and adventure led him to multiple different countries, deep sea fishing excursions, snorkeling adventures, poker playing, and truly living life to the fullest with his family and friends. He could make anyone smile, just by stepping into the room.
Web was one of those rare people who cared about others more than himself. He loved life, lived it, embraced it. He treasured family, friends, his cats, his work and was seldom without a smile, yet never far from a teasing joke.
He was one of the best examples of humanity, decency, and kindness in a most challenging world.
Survived by father (Walter Wadja), mother (Alida Tavernier), son (Aedin Wadja & wife Jennifer Wadja), daughter (Cailin Petersen & husband Jonathan Petersen), brother (Jon Wadja & wife Laurie Wadja), girlfriend (Almira Saint-Amand), cats (Raven & Woogie), among many other loved ones. Predeceased by sister (Wende Wadja).
May he continue to be loved by all, and forgotten by none.
In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a donation to Run to Home Base in partnership with the Red Sox Foundation to support Veterans, Service Members, and their Families as Cailin and Jon Petersen run a 9k this upcoming July.
