Mr. William V. Murphy Sr.

He was born January 10, 1927 in Canton, Ohio, son of the late Joseph and Helen Murphy (Wolfkale)

On February 7, 1948 he married Theresa Quercia at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Norwich. William (Bill) will always be remembered as a loving, giving husband and a friend to many people. Bill was a dedicated UCONN Basketball fan. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps for twenty years. He held positions of Vice President of Lehigh Oil Co. and also retired as manager for S.E.A.T.

In addition to his wife Theresa, he is survived by his children William, Kathleen and Michael and his wife Carol.

There will be no calling hours and burial will be private for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the ECHO Cancer Foundation, Eastern Connecticut Hematology and Oncology, 330 Washington St., Suite 220, Norwich CT 06360.
