Mr. William T. Powell Sr.

Norwich-William T. Powell Sr., 69, of Norwich, CT passed away on January 1, 2011, at William W. Backus Hospital. He was born on March 12, 1941 in Dupont, PA, to the late William and Ruth (Richards) Powell. He is survived by his loving wife Mary (Wilk) Powell who he married on July 11, 1964 in Pennsylvania.

William T. Powell, Sr. was a retired 40 year member of the Ironworkers Local 15 out of Hartford, CT.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Barbara Powell of Norwich, CT his daughter Kathleen Martin of Taftville, CT his son William Powell Jr. of Norwich, CT and his son Jesse Powell, also an Ironworker out of local 15 for 17 years of Westbrook, CT. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
