Ann Louise Coy

Ann was born on January 31, 1925 in German the daughter of John and Anna (Olson) Nelson. She grew up in the German area where she attended the local school. On October 26, 1946 in Cincinnatus she married Ronald B. Coy who passed away February 12, 1997. Her early adult life was spent on their farm in Willet . She eventually moved to German where she made her home from 1971-1995 and subsequently to South New Berlin in 1995 remaining there until her passing.

In earlier years she had worked at the Norwich Pharmacal Co. and the Cincinnatus Corset Factory. Always devoted to her church’s Ann had taught Sunday school at the German Baptist Church as well as the Cincinnatus Baptist Church. She was a current member of the Holmesville Baptist Church.

Ann will best be remembered for her keen ability of card giving and receiving. She NEVER forgot any ones birthday. Family, friends, neighbors and all would get one of her birthday or Christmas cards. It was her way of being connected to the people she cared for and loved.

Ann is survived by her children John (Barb) Coy of Holmesville, Dean (Ruth) Coy of Vestal and Jean Coy of South New Berlin. Also surviving is her daughter-in-law Mary Coy of Pharsalia, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ann was predeceased by her parents John and Ann Nelson, her husband Ronald Coy, son Luther Coy, sisters Alice Baker, Minnie Eggleston, Edith Eggleston, Esther Nightengale and Helen Albro, also her brothers Harold Nelson, Richard Nelson, Ronald Nelson, Donald Nelson and grandson in law Robert Stockwell.

A funeral service for Ann will be held on Friday, February 12, at 2:00 pm from the Holmesville Baptist Church. Pastor Grant Smith will officiate. Friends may call at the Holmesville Baptist Church of Friday from 1-2 pm.
