Arlene M. Noble

Arlene M. Noble was born on June 20th, 1945 in Brookfield, NY to Stanley F. Davis and Hazel L. Laraby. Arlene passed away on October 16th, 2025 at home surrounded by family and the same love she has known for the last 80 years.

Arlene is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Noble; her parents; her siblings, Stanley F. Davis Jr., Delsey Darlene Davis, Elva Leola Davis, Patrica Ketchum, Alfred Davis, and Wayne Davis; a special nephew and niece, James Lamphere Jr., and Barbara Lamphere; and her son in law, Gordon A. Skinner.

Arlene married Leon R. Beckwtih on January 4th, 1964 in Norwich NY. Arlene and Leon both had 3 children, Sarah, June, and Leon Jr. After divorcing Leon, Arlene married the love of her life Kenneth L. Noble on August 21st, 1983 in Norwich NY.

Arlene received her GED in 1981, she was a dedicated worker, loving and caring mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. Arlene worked for many places but the ones she always remembered and talked about the most is the shoe company, Nortogs, Night shift, Chenango Memorial Hospital, Meads and a loyal volunteer to the Norwich fire department for 23 years of active service and 24 years of service. She was member of the year, officer of the year, jokester, and most valuable member. While part of the auxiliary, she served as sunshine treasure, and treasurer for 12 years. She loved to have her coffee, casino, scratch off tickets, and cigarettes. A special thank you goes out to Brittany Ketchum for helping Arlene at the end of her life.

Arlene is survived by her pup dog Bruiser; her sisters, Barb Huffine, Mary Jane and Chuck Lockwood, and Maxine Davis; her children, Sara Skinner, June and John Fowlston, and Leon and Tammie Beckwith; her grandchildren, Josh and Tanya Skinner, Jaki and Thomas Carpenter, Jacob and Tami Fowlston, Joshua Jeffer, Jamie Spencer, and Jenna Beckwith; her great and great-great grandchildren, John and Jamber, Kenny and Crystal, Ryan, Natyka, Seth, Taylor, Wyatt, Asher, Jerry, Aria, Anisa, Ithaca, Burleigh, Leona, Grayson, Abigal, and baby Fowlston due in May; also special family members, Colleen, Whitney, AJ, Jacobie, Bryshaun, Ella, Xavier David Spencer and Kenneth Glen, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 22, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00pm until the time of service. A celebration of life will be announced at the services.
