Art was born on August 26, 1948 in Greene the son of Arthur and Mildred (Pettis) Reynolds. He grew up in the South Otselic area where he attended the local school. A veteran of the United States Army, Art honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. On October 30, 1976 he married Mary White and they have made their home in Oxford for over 40 years.
Art was a quiet, reserved sort of guy who had his funny side and found the good in everyone. His love of family was first and foremost which was followed by his love of animals. Over the years he had taken in many stray animals and gave them the love and care they needed. Art and Mary’s home soon earned the nickname of “Last Chance Ranch.” In his leisure time he enjoyed his fishing.
Over the years Art has worked for Kraft Foods in South Edmeston, Breakstone, Unison and most recently Dan Wesson Firearms.
Art is survived by his wife Mary of Oxford, his mother Mildred, children Arthur E. (Tammie) Reynolds of Rochester, Rachel Reid of Oxford and his granddaughter Zatanna. Also surviving are his siblings; Linda (Don) Hunsberger of Gibson, PA, Beverly (Jim) Money of Oxford, Kathy (Rick) Rifanburg of Earlville, Cindy (David) Coss of Delhi, Sandra (Michael) Lummis of Oxford and Samuel (Cindy) Reynolds of Bouckville.
