Beatrice M. Crandall

Beatrice M. Crandall, 78, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2016, at Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, one grandson and one great-grandson. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Asa Crandall; her children, Nora Pittsley; Audrey Crandall and Paul Martin; Denise and Vern Rasbeck; Asa and Marcia Crandall; and Russell Crandall; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Ruth Girndt; Ray Miles; Marie Wightman; Leslie Miles; and Mabel Warren; her sisters in law, Ada Symonds; Nancy Crandall; and Diana Crandall; her brother in law, David Crandall; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 5, at West Smyrna Baptist Church, 803 NY Rt. 80 Smyrna, NY 13464. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beatrice’s memory may be made to American Foundation for the Blind at www.afb.org Arrangements have been entrusted to R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich.
