Bruce W. Beltz

Bruce was a lifelong resident of Norwich, graduating from Norwich Schools and he made his living in the service industry, holding many positions in Norwich businesses. He was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church, donating his time and talent to many events there and was a strong supporter of Valley Heights Christian Academy as well as the church’s FAHOLO group. He also served on the Resident Council at Peacock Manor Apartments. Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, playing cards and attending pig roasts. He treasured the time spent with his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and also will be remembered for his love of dogs, especially Travis.

Bruce was predeceased by his father, William Beltz. Survivors include his mother, Rosalyn Beltz, of Norwich; his siblings, June and Stan Kata, of Endicott, Mark and Linda Beltz, of Chicago, Paul and Karolyn Beltz, of Norwich, and Joan and Len Brooks, of Norwich; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Bruce will take place at 12:00 pm on Monday, December 23, at Calvary Baptist Church, 75 Calvary Dr. Norwich with pastors Joel Weck, Elijah Beltz and Jeremy Stopford officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce’s memory may be made to Valley Heights Christian Academy, 75 Calvary Dr. Norwich, NY 13815.
