Candace Ostrom

Candace was born on January 2nd, 1962 in Norwich, NY. Candy spent many years in retail and banking, but her favorite role was being a devoted stay at home mom to her daughter, Amanda. She was very passionate about antiquing, decorating, clothing and jewelry. Candy was always ready for her next shopping adventure and could often be found making the rounds locally at some of her favorite places, like Farmhouse Finds. She was forever eager to go anywhere that potential treasures could be found. Her quick-witted humor and vivid storytelling brought immense joy to everyone around her and are already sorely missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Amanda Ostrom, brother Larry Burlingame, ex-husband Mark Ostrom, nieces, nephews and cherished extended family. She was particularly close to her niece Brenda Hatch, cousin Alanna Dunn, and many members of the Manwarren, Smith, and Tefft side of her family. Her chosen family Lana Deuel and Alexis June were also of great importance to her.

Candy was predeceased by many beloved family members, including her parents (Doris and LeRoy Burlingame Sr.), brothers (LeRoy Burlingame Jr. and Jerry Burlingame) and aunt Joyce Ward.

Calling hours will take place at Fahy's Funeral Home in Norwich, NY on September 25th, 2026 from 12-2pm with a funeral and graveside service at the North Norwich cemetery to follow.
