David M. Bush

David M. Bush passed away Tuesday January 30th, 2024. He was predeceased by his father Ervie Bush, sister Nancy, and grandchildren Lucy and Dakota Bush. He is survived by his mother Doris Bush, brothers and sisters Terry, Allen, Curtis, Penney, Lisa, Mike and Leroy; His children, Dan and Megan Bush, Kimberly and Joseph Daugherty, Stacy Bush, Stephanie and Dain Cast, Amber Rose; His grandchildren Tyler and Kari Bush, Ryan and Mallery Rose, Shelby and Justin Manwarren, Taylor and Khloe Rose, Sequoia Cast, Willow Presswood and Angelica Pagan. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins.

Born one of 9 children and a native to Oxford, NY, David worked during his younger years on many area farms and enjoyed getting into various degrees of mischief with his brothers. He enjoyed dancing and could often be found at Tall Pines dancing or working as a Bouncer at the door. In his adult years he worked at several factories in the area including Page Seed, Page Print and CH Thompson. He was affectionately given the nickname “Mooney” by friends and family. David enjoyed watching NASCAR, Football, and Wrestling. He also enjoyed playing cards and horseshoes with friends and family. He had a love for cooking and enjoyed having cookouts, providing for his friends and family, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Family and friends may pay their respects at calling hours to be held Saturday, February 10th, from 4-6 pm at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich NY. A Celebration of Life will be held following calling hours from 7-9 pm at the Oxford American Legion.
