Deborah M. (Debbie) Clipston, 69, of Norwich passed away on Monday morning, May 11, 2020 at the home of her son. Debbie was born in Syracuse on February 11, 1951 the daughter of John and Barbara (Joint) Richards. She spent the early years of her life in Syracuse but had been a longtime resident of Norwich. While making her home in Norwich she worked at various jobs but her main employer was NBT of Norwich where she worked in operations. Debbie enjoyed arts, crafts and was especially gifted in quilting. Over the years she had made many quilts which she would give to family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, anything outdoors and sewing but her main focus in life was her family and her 2 canine friends. On February 7, 1974 she married William (Bill) Clipston who survives. Besides her husband Bill of Norwich, Debbie is survived by her sons Neal Clipston and partner Leah of Norwich, Robert (Cassie) Clipston also of Norwich, her sister Theresa Boland of Syracuse, brothers Ricky Richards of Georgetown and John Richards of Plymouth Reservoir. Also surviving are her grandchildren Zack, Mallory, Tayah, Samantha, Sami, William, Kaiser, Griffin and Marleigh. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Debbie was predeceased by her son William (Billy) Clipston, her sisters Pam and Peggy and brother Daniel. Services for Debbie will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.

My dear friend. You will be missed. We walked miles together and shared many laughs and cries. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Clipston family. Deb was on inspiration to us all. She was as real as they get.

Thoughts and prayers to the family. Debbie was a very special and caring person. Worked with her at Champion and had some good times at the bowling alley. She will be missed. Rose Rowlison
