
Diane was born in Norwich on February 24, 1955 the daughter of Noral and Marion (Coles) Murray. She grew up in Norwich and attended the Norwich schools. In her earlier years she had been employed by the Norwich Shoe Company and Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Diane was a rough and tough type of individual but was always a survivor. She had a passion for the lottery and Turning Stone Casino, especially the bingo games. On special occasions such as holidays and birthdays she would often give cards always with lottery tickets inside.
Diane is survived by her daughters Kristen (Eric) Crandall of Norwich, Lisa (Anthony) Wilchynski of Norwich, grandchildren Skylar (Johnathan Gemberling) Wilchynski, Tucker Wilchynski, Danika Wilchynski, Alexa Lockwood, Kaleb Green, Isabelle Green, Charlotte Crandall, Adalind Crandall and Juliette Crandall and a great grandson Charlie Gemberling. Also surviving are her siblings Karen (Varley) Brazee of Oxford, Betty (Howard) Larry of Norwich, Ruth Murray of Oneonta, Sandy Murray of Norwich, Linda Murray of Norwich and Noral (Pat) Murray and wife Dawn of South New Berlin. Also surviving are Diane’s special nieces Carinda Laureanti and Terri Murray along with many other nieces and nephews.
Diane was predeceased by her son Gene Lockwood, sister Janice (Pocky) Murray and brother Thomas Murray.
There will be no formal services at this time but the family will be holding a Celebration of Life BBQ at a later time.
