

Dolores was born in New York City in 1928 to the late Raphael Sanchez and Catherine (Hirschman) Sanchez Tucci. She spent her early years in Sherburne, New York, living on a farm and attending school in a one-room schoolhouse. Upon graduating from high school she returned to New York City to begin her working career. She was employed by Eastman Kodak before later working for Victory Markets in Norwich.
In June 1949, she married Richard E. “Dick” Lollman and began raising their family. In 1955, she returned to the workforce at Norwich Pharmaceutical Company, where she dedicated 34 years of service, retiring under Procter & Gamble.
Dolores was predeceased by her first husband, Richard E. Lollman, after 41 years of marriage. She later married Everett Verhoeven of Port Crane, New York, and together they relocated to Summerfield, Florida. Following his passing after 23 years of marriage, Dolores continued to enjoy many years in Florida before eventually returning to New York just last year.
Dolores was sharp-minded, strong-willed, and resilient. She lived independently up until the time of her death and even drove a car up until the age of 96. Throughout her life she enjoyed camping, square dancing, traveling, cruising, playing cards and countless other games, reading, watching Dancing with the Stars, and, most especially, spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her storytelling and her sense of humor, bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went.
She was also predeceased by her son, Richard A “Dick” Lollman of Plantation, Florida, and her grandson, William “Billy” Brookins of Norwich, as well as many other family members and friends.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Patsy (Gary) Brookins of Norwich, New York; her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Lollman of Plantation, Florida; her granddaughter, Stephanie (Timothy) Paden of Oxford, New York; her grandsons, Matthew (Julie) Lollman of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Kristopher Lollman (fiancé Cinthya) of Hollywood, Florida, Jayson Lollman of Plantation, Florida; and her great-grandsons, Christian and Bennett Paden of Oxford, New York, and Ethan and Samuel Lollman of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by her stepchildren: Garry (Mary Ann) Verhoeven of Binghamton, New York; Vanessa (David) Seeholzer of Herkimer, New York; Valerie Hefty of Charlotte, North Carolina; Cheryl Trick of Leland, North Carolina; Debra (Darden) Waterfield of Independence, Missouri; and Kevin Verhoeven of Elmira, New York, as well as many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
There will be a burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery in the spring of 2026. Arrangements have been entrusted to the National Cremation Society and the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in memory of Dolores may be made to Our Daily Bread Food Pantry, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 37 West Main Street, Norwich, NY 13815.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
