Doris E. Jones

Doris was born in Norwich on March 23, 1942 the daughter of Olaf and Esther (Johnson) Olson. She grew up in South New Berlin where she attended and graduated from the South New Berlin School.

Doris spent her whole life in the South New Berlin area. She first worked for Victory Markets as an accounts payable clerk for a period of 20 years and subsequently for the South New Berlin School also as an accounts payable clerk.

In her leisure time Doris enjoyed camping with her family and friends. During these camping trips there was usually a good game of pitch in the mix. She had just returned home from camping over the weekend at Lebanon Reservoir when she passed away. She also enjoyed watching her feathered cardinal friends.

On March 13, 1956 she married Kenneth Jones who survives. Besides her husband Ken of South New Berlin, Doris is survived by her children Craig S. Jones of Norwich, Lisa (Daren K.) Johns of Chenango Forks and Buddy her canine child. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Carl Olson.

Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday, JUNE 10, from 11:00 - 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery of South New Berlin.
