Elaine Rose Mulhair, of Guilford, New York, passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on September 4, 1937, in Goshen, New York, Elaine grew up downstate in black dirt farming country before she and her husband moved their family to Guilford in 1971.
Elaine was married to Mike Mulhair for 52 years. Raising their six children on a dairy farm taught them about dedication and hard work. As the Mulhair family grew, the next generations loved spending summers with grandma and grandpa on their farm. Her family was central to her life, and she cherished her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Elaine is survived by her children: Michael Mulhair (Kathy), Stephen Mulhair, Bonnie MaGee, Andrea Harris (Russ), Audrey Mulhair, and Patrick Mulhair (Amber). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jessica Jayne (Levi), Molly Huey (Vince), Samantha Sherwood (Nate), Jessica Bilek (Ian), Stephanie Bader (Sheldon), Zachary Harris (Ashley), Kendall Mulhair, and Seth Fogarty, as well as 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Mike Mulhair, her sister, Margaret Koryckl, and her brothers, Walter, Joe, Fred, and Henry Andryshak, along with her grandson, Michael Noel MaGee.
Elaine loved polka music. She was especially fond of both Jimmy Sturr and the Big Joe Polka Shows, taking the grandkids to Lindy’s for ice cream, and green tea. Her warm sense of humor and infectious laugh will be missed until we see her again.
