Eleanor B. Rounds

Eleanor B. Rounds, 81, a 58 year resident of South Plymouth passed away Monday afternoon, September 28, 2020, at her home. Eleanor was born in Norwich on October 14, 1938 the daughter of Frank and Doris (Whitfield) Boyce. She grew up in the North Norwich area and attended school in North Norwich and Sherburne Central School from which she graduated. On November 30, 1962 in Plymouth she married Robert Rounds who survives. In her earlier years she had worked for the Bennett-Ireland Co. for a period of 14 years. As her family came along she decided to become a stay at home mom to care for her children. In her leisure time she enjoyed doing her crafts, knitting and crocheting but her main focus throughout her life was her family. Eleanor is survived by her husband Robert of So. Plymouth, daughters Debbie (Joe) Halloran of Deatsville, AL and Tina (Ben) Burchill of So. Plymouth. Also surviving is her sister Shirley Crandall of Oxford, her grandchildren Brittany (Jim) Stephens, Jessica (Tyler) Myers, Jordan Halloran, Zachary Halloran and her great grandchildren Eastlyn and Wyatt Stephens and Olivia Myers. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service for Eleanor will be held on Saturday, October 3, at Noon from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Stopford will officiate. Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 until the time of the service at Noon. Interment will follow in the South Plymouth Cemetery.
