Gene A. Lockwood

Gene was born in Norwich on Aug. 16, 1979 the son of Gilbert Lockwood Jr. and Diane Murray Lockwood. He grew up in Norwich where he attended the local schools. Throughout his life Gene was well known and liked by those who knew him. He was an avid Yankee and Miami Dolphins Fan and enjoyed his fishing.

Gene is survived by his daughter Alexa Lockwood and her mother, his mother Diane Lockwood, his companion Bobbie Jo Beang all of Norwich, his sisters, Lorraine Brooks and husband John of Gilbertsville, Lisa Wilchynski and husband Anthony of Norwich, Kristen Lockwood and fiancee Timothy Greene II also of Norwich, his brothers Dwayne Lockwood and companion Michelle of Mt. Upton, Jeremy Hazard of Smyrna and Eric Scott Simons and companion Lori Bateman of Pembroke. Also surviving is his paternal grandmother Nettie Lockwood along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Gene will be held on Thursday at 12:00 Noon from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Brad Keator, Pastor of the Chenango Christian Church of Norwich will officiate.

Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at Noon.
