George N. Wright

George N. Wright, 84, of North Norwich, passed away on July 30, 2025 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home. He was born on July 12, 1941 to the late Louis and Leila Wright. He was also predeceased by his sister, Josephine Decker; his stepfather Guy Brown; his brother Elmer Wright; and his brothers in law, George Decker and Elmer Aldrich. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Judy Wright; his daughter, Lisa and Vincent Mirabito; his grandchildren, Tara and John Jablonski, Angelo and Deb Mirabito, Alyssa Mirabito, and Vincent T. and Katelynn Mirabito; 11 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; his sister, Adelaide Aldrich; his nephews, Bradley and Terri Aldrich, and Rodney and Janet Aldrich; his niece Kathy Lawrence; his brother in law Victor Foster, sisters in law Pauline Foster and Marie Whaley; as well as many other nieces and nephews.

George served his country during the Vietnam War and returned to Norwich where he had a career with Norwich Eaton Pharmaceuticals, continuing with the company when Proctor and Gamble took over, then retiring after many years of service. He was an avid collector of Norwich Eaton Pharmaceutical memorabilia, he enjoyed visiting flea markets, watching black & white western movies, NASCAR, old country music (Merle Haggard was his favorite), and his annual trips out west to visit his Army buddies.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00am on Friday, August 8, at North Norwich Cemetery with Pastor Robert Decker officiating.
