Harold is survived by his son, Ray (Barbara); his siblings Louis (Lori), Charles, and Charlotte (Thomas); and by his grandchildren Anisia-Marie (Nate), Shilah-Jo, and Calisa-Tate (Jeff). He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Arabellah and Akira. He was preceded in death by his sister, Madeline.
A steady, hard-working man, Harold also valued quiet and independence, often preferring his own company with a book and a question worth pursuing. His thirst for knowledge was tremendous, and he found genuine satisfaction in time spent reading and researching areas of interest—especially during visits to the McDonough library before it closed, and later at the Norwich library.
Harold held a deep affection for all of his cats, and that tenderness was one of the simple, enduring joys of his days.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you feed a stray cat—he would love that.
