Joel A Mason

Joel A. Mason, 37, of Norwich, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 29, 2025. He was born in Hamilton on July 22, 1987, to Pete and Diana Mason. He is survived by his wife, Rachael; his children, Ashton, Sophia, and Isabella; his stepson, Gavin; his brothers, Kyle and Maggie Mason, and Cole Mason and Kristin Cernell; his nieces and nephews, Blake, Cameron, Elaina, and Adam; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

From his time as a child until his untimely passing, Joel was always known for his strong work ethic and ability to connect with people, which led him to Verizon where he excelled as a sales person and eventually a manager of multiple stores. Culinary was always his passion working for Colgate University in his younger years and for Nina’s Pizzeria recently. Being a constant jokester, his friends and family both enjoyed his company and quips, either through Facebook or in person. He was a devoted father and a great provider for his family. He had the biggest heart and will forever be in ours.

He is predeceased by both of his grandparents Gerald and Patricia Coye, Edward (Bud) Mason, and Elizabeth (Betty) Mason; his aunt, Mary Wentworth; his uncle, Charlie Dennis, and his cousin, Matthew Mason.

Joel’s last act of kindness to this world was being an Organ Donor.
