John J. Hartwell

John graduated from Mt. Upton Central School and attended Alfred State College and graduated with an Associate’s degree in Building Construction. He was a long time employee of Amphenol Aerospace in Sidney.

John is remembered for his love of everything outdoors. He spent his free time hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening and harvesting nature’s bounty.

John is reunited in eternal peace with his father, Beanie Hartwell, mother Lottie Donnelly, brother, Barry Hartwell, and sister, Judy Diver-Riggall.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shayne “Mike” and Sherrie Hartwell of West Schuyler; daughter, Eden Hartwell of Norwich; their mother, Michele Hartwell of Mt. Upton; grandchildren, Lane, Mikayla and Dustyn Hartwell; brother, Shaun Hartwell of Mt. Upton; sisters Elayna “Lucy” Thomas of Chenango Forks, Betty Sarauw of Plymouth and Billi Jo Hartwell of Az.; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday, December 2 at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, Norwich, NY from 3:00 to 5:00. Visitors are welcomed to wear outdoors sporting attire to honor John’s passion.
