Kathleen Louise Kenney Jason of South Plymouth, New York, passed away after a battle with cancer on June 25, 2026, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York. She was 69 years old. She was predeceased by her parents William Kenney, Sr. and June Meagher Kenney, her husband Keith Jason and partner Brian James. She is survived by a sister Eileen Kenney and brother William Kenney, his wife Jamie Taylor, nephew Will Kenney and step niece Jackie Henshaw and husband Mark. Kathy worked for the Frontier Phone Company and was a long-time resident of the area.
Kathy had a loving, giving and curious soul. She was either crafting, doing genealogy and other research or just offering a supportive ear to a friend. Kathy loved animals, sci-fi movies and game shows. She was a loyal and funny friend who gave more than she received. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Kathy’s name. A graveside service will take place at a time to be decided.
