Lawrence R. Palmer

On July 13, 2016, Lawrence Russel (Larry) Palmer passed away quietly in his sleep at his home on Shawler Brook Rd. in Sherburne. Born on December 11, 1953, Larry was a graduate of Sherburne High School where he excelled at football and baseball. He worked many jobs including doing construction with his grandfather, roofing, Vantine Studios, Pro-Tel, working maintenance and bar tending. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, card playing, shuffleboard and watching sports. He was also a member of Sherburne American Legion Post 876.

Larry was predeceased by his father, Robert H. Palmer in 1979; and family friend, Niles Pope in 2001. Survivors include his long-time companion, Donna Jaquay, of Sherburne; his mother, Evelyn A. Palmer; his sisters, Cassie M. Palmer, of Little Falls; Robin L. Tucker, of Smyrna; and Tracy L. and Randy Hull, of Sherburne; his nieces and nephews, Megan A. Tucker; Cheyanne S. Tucker; Matt P. Hull; and Nicholas R. Hull; also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 19th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich.

Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry’s memory may be made to American Legion Post 876, 15 Main St. Sherburne, NY 13460.
