Nate was predeceased by his mother, father, step father Carl Graham, special brothers -in -law Erskine, Richard Moon, and Gary Fulmer, and nephew Bob Smith. Also his uncle Earl Huntley and cousin Alan Huntley. Boy what a get together they are having now!
Nate loved his country and served in the Air Force as an MP when he graduated from high school. He then was a dairy farmer on the Huntley Farm. After farming, he went to work for the state at Roger’s Conservation Center in Sherburne. Then he drove tractor trailer for McClain Trucking. Before he retired, he worked at the Onondaga Waste Disposal Plant in Syracuse. He got bored when he retired and went to work at NBT as a mail courier. He was a very hard worker.
Nate sure did love people and talking. He went to breakfast almost every morning with his good friend and neighbor, Ronny Johnson. He often went to dinner with Tracy and Pam and dinner and dominoes with the gang of June, Gary, Millie, Larry and Peg. He would stop and talk with anyone but was very intentional with visiting friends, neighbors and family. He gave advice and wisdom freely, whether we wanted to hear it or not. But he always wanted us to know how much he loved and cared for us all!
Friends and Family can visit us on Tuesday, August 16 from noon to 3:00pm at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich NY. The funeral will follow at 3:00 with Pastor Jeanne Angell officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Valley View Cemetery in South Otselic, NY. If you can’t make it to any of those times, we will gather at the Beaver Meadow Christian Church in Beaver Meadow after the cemetery for food and good conversation so feel free to visit with us then. Dad always loved a good get together and talking!
