

Perry W. Boyd, 80, passed away on February 4, 2025, after declining health in recent years. He continued to carry on despite his weakened condition without complaining. He was a loving and caring husband and father.
Perry, son of Dallas and Ella Boyd, of Newago, Michigan, most recently residing in Canastota, NY and previously of Hudson Florida. He served in the US Navy from 1965-1969. Cremation and service will be handled by R. J. Fahy Funeral Home. Mary Boyd, loving wife, is organizing a public memorial in the spring at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery and asks that anyone with fond memories, stories, or keepsakes feel free to attend and share.
Perry will be remembered as a tough and tireless handyman in any way he was able. He always rose to the challenge of “that can't be fixed.” He had a passion and ability to fix anything and was always reliable. He was a machine and press operator, diesel mechanic, and a construction worker and supervisor.
He leaves behind his children Thomas (Beverly) Boyd, Susan (Brad) Beauvais, granddaughters Maryssa Boyd and Victoria Knowlton (Josh Lawrence fiancé,) grandson, Andrew Beauvais; great grandkids Myla, Harper, Remi, and Leo Lawrence; surviving siblings, twin younger sister Patricia (Michael) Bennett, Donald (Margaret), Peggy (Ralph)Frick. He was preceded in death by siblings Maxwell (Juanita), Edward (Rosemary), Robert (Gertrude), Imogene Stroven, Gordon (Pat) and grandson Thomas Boyd.
