Richard D Head

Richard D. Head, 66, of Oxford, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025. He was predeceased by his sons, Andrew Head, and Nathan Head. Survivors include his wife, Tammy; his children, Derrich and Shania Head, Nicole and Josh Connelly, Jennifer Brooks, Rebecca Barrows, and Cassi Barrows; his grandchildren, Gunner Head, Scarllett Head, Bristol Head, Jazmine Brooks, Emma Connelly, Adam Connelly, Maddie Connelly, Hunter Connelly, Ethan Monk, Gage Barrows, Ava Barrows, Alexa Barrows, James Barrows, Braylnn Barrows, and Lynkon Barrows; his father, Lee Head; his brothers, Corey Prosser, and Tim Prosser,; and his sisters, Kathy Diefenbacher, Cindy Prosser, and Stacy Prosser.

Richard was a lifelong resident of the Oxford area and made his living as a nurse’s aide at the New York State Veteran’s Home. He was an accomplished artist who loved to draw, paint and create woodworking projects. He also enjoyed the forest and hunting season as well as cheering for the NY Giants.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Thursday, October 23, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich with Pastor Richard Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
