She was born December 29, 1940 in Plymouth, NY, the daughter of John and Ellen (Taylor) Larsson. Attending the South Plymouth School in her early years, she graduated from the Norwich High School class of 1960.
Rose Mary worked as a factory floor laborer for Norwich Mills (later Champion Products) in Norwich, and later spent 11 years working at the Norwich Children’s Center day-care facility in Norwich.
Rose Mary was a friendly, outgoing person who enjoyed the company of others. Earlier in her life, she was a member of the Plymouth United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Later in life, she was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Norwich, where she served as a deacon, served on the diaconate board, volunteered with the church food pantry, and assisted with many a church supper. In addition to her volunteer time with her church, she was a member of the Plymouth Fire Department Auxiliary.
In her leisure time, Rose Mary enjoyed sowing, quilting, cooking, baking, and gardening. She held a special place in her heart for animals, and especially enjoyed the company of her feline companions, Ringo and Whiskers.
Rose Mary is survived by her sister: Carolyn Larsson of Norwich; and her brother: Richard Larsson of Fishers, IN; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents: John and Ellen Larsson.
Rose Mary’s family would like to thank the Doing and Cumber families, and Deanna Smith, for being her faithful friends throughout the years.
A graveside service will be held in the spring in South Plymouth Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.
