Sandra R Anderson

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Stephen Anderson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Anna Anderson, of Arlington, VA; her three grandchildren, Sophia, Adam and Scarlett; her three sisters and their spouse’s, Marcia (David) Olin, Robin (Richard) Spencer, and Patti (Alan) Broome; her brother, Timothy Tiffany; as well as many other family members including several nieces and nephews who she loved very much are left behind.

Sandy was born in Ohio and raised in Norwich, NY, she spent her later years enjoying retirement with Steve in North Myrtle Beach, SC before returning to Norwich after Steve’s passing. Sandy was a loving grandmother to Sophia, Adam and Scarlett and enjoyed spending time with the children during vacations to the Outer Banks. Watching her grandchildren grow and thrive was one of her greatest joys.

Sandy was artistic and creative throughout her life, always making birthdays and holidays special for those she loved. She was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. We will miss her every day.

The family will be welcoming friends and those who loved her on Saturday, September 28th, from 10:00am until 12:00pm at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Norwich at 12:00 pm.
