Sharon L. Yerdon, 77, of DeRuyter, passed away on October 6, 2025. She was born in Syracuse to the late Robert and Betty Martin. She grew up in Orwell and attended school in Sandy Creek. In 1969, Sharon married Gary Yerdon while he was in the Navy and together, they traveled to many states in the US. Throughout her life, Sharon enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting, her monthly luncheon with her former classmates, and most of all, her family.
Sharon leaves behind her daughter, Coy Pilcher; her grandchildren, Kaitlin (Cruz) Brown, Rachel (Austin) Wolf, and Ryan Yerdon; her great-grandchildren, Colley, Cassidy, Finik, Gracia, and Addison; her siblings, Cathy (Jerry) Presley, Susie (Terry) Harlander, and Robert (Deborah) Martin; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends. In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Gary and her son, Colley Yerdon.
At Sharon’s request, there will be no formal funeral services. She will be laid to rest at Greenboro Cemetery in Redfield.
