Shauna M. Astalos

Born in Sidney in March of 1997, Shauna was the daughter of Jeremy and Christine Furgison Astalos. A beautiful-spirit person who liked to make things happy and loved to give, Shauna attended the Norwich schools and would have entered the 9th grade this fall.

Shauna is survived by her mother, Christine Furgison, and step-dad, Shawn Wright; her dad and step-mom, Jeremy and Crystal Astalos; her sister, Shiane Astalos, her half-sister, Mckenna Astalos, and step-sister, Nickia West, all of Guilford; her half-brothers: Devon Ireland of Guilford, Wyatt Wright of Norwich, and Jeremy Astalos of Guilford. Also surviving are Shauna's maternal grandmother, Brenda Gatlin, and her paternal grandparents, Toni and Calvin Astalos, all of Guilford; her maternal great grandmother, Marsha F. Miner of Norwich; her paternal great gransmother, Joan Gatlin and Joan's companion, Gerald Hollenbeck of Guilford; great grandfather, Andy Gatlin of Franklin, NJ; her paternal great great grandmother, Marion Astalos of New Jersey; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. Shauna was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Joseph B. Gatlin.

Funeral services for Shauna will be held at 12:00 noon on Sat. from the R. J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Conover, Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Friends are invited to call at the R. J. Fahy Funeral home on Sat. from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
