Sylva D Rainbow, a devoted and kind-hearted woman, passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on November 5, 1944, in North Pharsalia, New York, Sylva was a loyal and hard-working individual who lived a life full of compassion and love.
Sylva was a resident of South Plymouth, New York, where she shared a life with her beloved spouse, Eugene Rainbow, whom she married on August 10, 1963. Their union was blessed with a loving family. Sylva is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Harrington (James), and her grandsons, Danny Harrington (Kaley), James Harrington (Brianne), and Dylan Harrington (Alexis). She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren.
Sylva is remembered by her sisters, Melva Bolduc (Robert) and Melody Giles (Gary), and her brother, James Smith (Beverly). She was predeceased by her son, Kevin Rainbow; her brother, Reland Smith (Jean); her sister, Betty Palmer (Ron); and her parents, Harry L Smith and Alice Wanda Border.
In her personal life, Sylva had a deep love for flowers and a passion for caring for others, which was evident in her daily interactions and relationships. Her compassionate nature will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
