Angela Marie (Toronto) Bossio

Angela Marie (Toronto) Bossio of Norwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the age of 93. Born on August 7, 1926 in Boston, MA she was the daughter of the late Amerigo & Josephine (Macchione) Toronto. Angela grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School with the class of 1945. She married her husband Tony on September 4, 1949. They bought a home and moved to Norwood in 1956. After raising her four children, Angela was employed as a sales associate for Kline’s Department store in Norwood for over 18 years which allowed her to often indulge and exhibit her keen sense of fashion. She was a former member of the Norwood Catholic Club. Angela enjoyed many activities including cooking; sewing; traveling (especially going on cruises with her husband and their many friends); planning & hosting her annual Christmas party with her daughter Patti. But most of all Angela enjoyed visiting and spending time with her grandchildren, attending their recitals, shows and games.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Bossio. Loving mother of Francis Bossio of South Easton, Joanne O’Connor & her husband Farrell of Jefferson, Patricia Bossio of Norwood, and Robert Bossio & his wife Karen of Pittsfield. Cherished grandmother of Lauren O’Connor-Valente, Kristen Bossio and Evan Bossio. Predeceased by her brothers, Robert Toronto and William Toronto.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, December 15th from 2-6PM in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 549 Washington Street, Norwood on Monday, December 16th at 9AM. (Please go directly to the church.) Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Angela’s name may be made to Norfolk Adult Day Health Center, 595 Pleasant Street, Norwood, MA 02062.
