Barbara "Sally" Crowley

Barbara Sally (Armour) Crowley of Dedham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 5, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was 88.

Born in Boston, Sally was the daughter of the late Barbara (Burns) and Robert Armour. Sally was raised in Readville and was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School with the class of 1955. Sally had many jobs over the years but the one she enjoyed the most and retired from was with New England Telephone.

Sally was a woman of deep faith. It was that faith that supported her every day and that forged the basis of her love of family and friends. Sally was blessed with an amazing partner in Francis. Together they built a strong family that continues to grow. Our family is extremely fortunate to hold many happy memories, photos and even a book (self-authored) to share all our stories of Nana Crowley. There are so many people in both her Dedham and North Palm Beach communities that have had the privilege to call Sally their friend. Sally was a spectacular organizer and always made sure that if you were in her company you would have as much fun as possible. Sally Crowley will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Sally was the beloved wife of 65 years of the late Francis M. Crowley, the devoted mother to James Crowley of Marshfield, the late John Crowley and his wife Susan of Ft. Myers FL and William Crowley and his wife Sara of Walpole. Sally was the sister of Robert Armour of North Palm Beach FL and the proud Grandmother of eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Visitation for friends and family will be held in St. Anne Parish, 90 W. Milton Street READVILLE on Saturday May 16, 2026 beginning at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park will be private.  Arrangements are in the care of Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood.
