Living through "The Great Depression " WW II & a survivor of "The Coconut Grove Fire", Barbara was a graduate of Dean Academy, Class of 1938 and worked as a steel riveter and for the Red Cross.
Known in many social circles, Barbara enjoyed fox hunting, golf and tennis. She volunteered for Dedham's Ladies Clubs and still found time to raise four children.
Barbara will be remembered by her friends as fun loving, generous and always game to try something new.
Mrs. Greaves was predeceased by her husband Robert P. Greaves. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia H. Greaves of Norfork, her sons: William H. Frederick of Ohio, Robert P. Greaves, Jr. and William A. Greaves, both of Norfolk.
Funeral services are private.
