

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christine M. (McManus) Farrell. Christine passed away at Beth Israel Hospital on July 3, 2025 surrounded by loving family.
Born in Arlington on January 25, 1952, Christine was the loving daughter of the late Ralph and Christine (Ahern) McManus.
Christine grew up in Arlington, was educated at Arlington Catholic and attended the University of Massachusetts to study psychology.
While at UMass, she met her husband of more than 50 years, Jack. Christine left her job at Verizon to become a homemaker and she and Jack created a home in Walpole for the past 40 years where they raised their family.
Christine enjoyed British mysteries, true crime, Judge Judy and over-feeding family. She was a loving grandmother who gave countless hugs, sang many verses of Wheels on the Bus and listened to many retellings of school days and play dates.
She is survived by her devoted husband: John “Jack” Farrell, her children: Jamie O’Leary and her husband John of Mansfield, Michael Farrell and his partner Nisha Verma of Norton, and John Farrell and his fiancé Julia Donahue of Lexington. She was the cherished grandmother of Lucas and Samuel. She was the dear sister of Mary Worthy and her husband Bill, and the late Ralph McManus and Elizabeth McManus. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Services from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD on Friday, July 11, at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond St., Walpole at 10:30AM. Visiting Hours in the Funeral Home on Thursday from 3-7 PM. Interment Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
In lieu of flowers, Christine’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
