Daniel L. Kowalczyk

KOWALCZYK, Daniel Louis, 61, of Walpole, formerly of Quincy, Holbrook, and Randolph, Sunday, November 10. Born in Somerville, June 29, 1952, he was the son of Blanche (Meunier) Kowalczyk of Mansfield and the late Stanley P. Kowalczyk. He was the beloved husband of Virginia (Hall) Kowalczyk of Walpole, the loving father of Jeffrey A. Kowalczyk and his wife, Emily Zarek of PA, and Dr. Timothy D. Kowalczyk and his wife, Dr. Genette McGrew of VT, the dear brother of the late Stanley W. Kowalczyk , William A. Kowalczyk and his wife Jody Halliday of NH, and Stephen E. Kowalczyk of Brockton; cherished uncle of Peter Kowalczyk of CA and Theodore Kowalczyk of CT. Dan graduated from Quincy High School in 1970 and the Blue Hills Technical Institute. He was a software engineer for Electrosyn Corporation in Canton, Daymarc in Waltham, Cohu in Littleton and most recently, at WieSic Machine, Inc. in Lowell. He was one of the founding members and lead guitarist for the Second Society, a dance band in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 13, at 1:00 PM in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond St., Walpole. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Wednesday prior to the Mass from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood.
