Belated thoughts, so sadden  for your loss, he was a fine gentleman, I knew him for a long time but had  not spoken to him for quite awhile, he hated birthdays !  He always had great love for his girls and his mother .. hope he found happiness..    NM …

Hello Everyone,
My name is Tom Bohenek. I worked with David for two or three decades. I was his supervisor (although Dave might argue that point). David and I butted heads a few times over the years, but on occasion we had long personal talks on the phone. (Dave loved the phone).  I know that he loved his mother, and he also loved and worried about his daughters. He looked after his mother in her elder years to make sure she was comfortable and well taken care of. (we had many conversations about it).  He drove her a long way to see the Doctors she preferred. He took care of their home as well. He supported the rest of his family as best as he could.  
David awoke at an ungodly hour to commute from the Cape to Boston. He would often remark about how much gas he needed, or how many sets of tires he went through (I think he had his tire guy on speed dial). 
David told me many times that he would never drive a domestic car. If it didn't have a V and a W on it he did not want it. He swore by those VW's, except for the time he needed an entire exhaust system and went into sticker shock. He must've called 20 places trying to get a better price, but that was Dave.  I think he was finally successful.  He also worked many hours and days of overtime.  
David was a conscientious, hard worker, and always tied up loose ends. He was also dependable.
And according to him, he was quite the pool player.
Dave would not take no for an answer. He kept after you until you relented.   
In all seriousness, David was a good son, a good father, a good worker, and I'm sure a good spouse.
I'm sure everyone of his family and friends will miss him.
I want to express my condolences to all of you, and also to wish you "Peace".

Sorry to hear this news. I worked with Dave and enjoyed his stories of Scargo Hill among many others.  He was extremely affable and will surely be missed. -

Having known David over the past 3 years has been a pleasure. Riding in the elevator with Dave and his precious dog, seeing him walk with him many times a day was always a pleasure. We will miss his presence in the community. Please accept our condolences.

David was one of a kind of guy to work with on the railroad you  never knew what he was thinking and always writing things down all day on little bits of    paper and leave them everywhere in the storeroom don't know why when he could have used the computer and when you would ask him a question he would go on for ever but that was dave ,  always at the end of his shift he would change his clothes and make sure everything would match I remember he had one sweater he wore a lot it was a yellow sweater he would tie it around his neck . your father would keep his personal life to himself but he would always talk about his three daughters how much he love them. I am so sorry for the family's loss
