Dina M. Smith

Dina M (Salamone) Smith, 35 of Walpole, formerly of Watertown, passed away suddenly on September 27, 2023.

Dina was an amazing and nurturing mother, a devoted and cherished wife, a supportive and caring sister, a precious and remarkable daughter, and above all a strong, brave and beautiful woman.

Dina loved things that fed her mind and soul. Hiking trails and mountains, sunsets on the beach, books, and using her creative energy, all brought her joy and fulfillment. Dina's kindness showed through her passion for helping children in the foster system with inspiration from her beloved foster mother, Jane O'Connor. She was also an advocate for mental health reform and dedicated to the Walpole Public library children's program, where she served on the committee.

Dina is survived by her parents Kim and Michael Salamone and Anthony and Aimee Mercer, her husband Joshua R. Smith, her beautiful children Joshua "LJ", Destiny and Jaxen. She also leaves behind her siblings, Kelsi, Nicole, Bryan and Justin Mercer, Emma Rios, and Shawna and Michael Salamone. She will be greatly missed by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Dinas infectious smile, keen sense of humor and fast-witted sarcasam made Dina unforgettable to all who met her.

In true Dina style, she wanted her memorial to be a celebration of life. Attendees are encouraged to wear bright vibrant colors in honor of her zest for life.

Funeral Service in the Crossroads Worship Center, 241 Broad Street, Weymouth on Thursday October 5 at 5:00 PM. Visitation in the church prior to the service on Thursday from 4-5 PM only. Interment private.
