

LeBLANC, Harold E. “Hal” 90 of Palm Desert, CA and formerly of Norwood and Walpole, Wednesday November 1, 2017. Born June 2, 1927 in Brooklyn N.Y. he was a son of the late Harold and Lorraine LeBlanc. He was the beloved husband for 60 years of the late Marian T. (Murphy). Devoted father of Robert and his wife Shannon of Boston, James and his wife Susan of Marietta GA, Joseph and his wife Keely of Escondido CA, Gerard and his wife Jennifer of Conway, and Judith and her husband John Pankoff of Parker CO, and the late Harold Michael. Loving grandfather of nine grandchildren. Brother of Paul and his wife Martha of Dennisport, and Harvey and his wife Patricia of Norwood, and the late Lionel and his wife Mary, and Peggy and her husband Neil Hawley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Hal was a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1945, and Bridgewater State University. He was a member of the MA Teachers Association, Rotary Club, Walpole Town Meeting Representative-Charter Member, BSA of Marion, MA, St. Rita’s C.C.D., Marion MA, and D.A.V. Life Member. Mr. LeBlanc was A Korean War Veteran; U.S. Army Engineers, 1950-1952. He was an Elementary School Principal in the Town of Walpole for 26 years. He worked many years as an elementary school teacher, and prior to that as an Auditor for United Fruit Co., and Bird & Sons of Walpole. A Memorial Mass in Hal and Marian’s memory will be held on Monday November 20 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St. Norwood at 9 o’clock, followed by interment at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be Sunday 2 – 6 in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Hal’s memory to the Harold E.
