

Janice K. (Samson) Clarke Lewis, 78, of Foxboro, passed away on Sunday, September 14. Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Pearce and Dorothy (Davis) Samson. Janice was the Parish Administrative Assistant at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Canton for 12 years until she retired last June. Prior to that she worked at the Massachusetts Audubon Society for many years. Janice was the loving mother of Jeffrey Pearce Clarke and his wife, Debora of Norwood, the late Bruce Clarke, Sgt. Maj. Christopher G. Lewis and his wife, Mikey of Louisiana, the cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Pearce Clarke, II and his wife, Michelle, Daniel Edward, Michael Malachy and Melissa Dorothy Clarke, all of Norwood, and Samuel Gavin Lewis of North Carolina; the dear sister of Mary Rawlinson of North Carolina and Edward Samson of Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 22, at 11:00 AM at the First Parish Unitarian Church, 1508 Washington Street, Canton. Interment will be private.
