Born in Wauchula, FL she was the daughter of the late Douglas Darcy and Delores (Morgan) O’Donnell. Mrs. O’Brien had immense love for her family. During her retirement, Jeanne volunteered at her mother-in-laws daycare while battling with breast cancer. Mrs. O’Brien also worked for many years in the retail industry as a store manager. She had many admirable qualities, but the ones she is most known for was her resilient strength and ability to love fiercely.
Jeanne enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, dancing, riding on the back of her husband’s motorcycle, playing pool and most of all, spending quality time with her family. She had a growing family that she loved dearly. She will be remembered for the smiles that she put on everyone’s face, her giant hugs that held you tight, and her passion for enjoying life. She created many memorable moments with her loved ones and friends and will be missed tremendously.
In addition to her husband, she leaves three sons, Johnny Black of Woonsocket, RI, Andrew Black of Lincoln, RI, Anthony Black of Hanover, MA, and a daughter, Sally Pransky of St. Johnsbury, VT. She had 10 grandchildren, Cash, Nadia, Farrah, Mikah, Darcy, Mary Ana, Dana, Stevie, Sophie, and Bennett.
A visitation for Jeanne will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood, MA. Following the visitation will be a celebration of life reception from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Norwood Elks Lodge #1124, 152 Winslow Avenue, Norwood, MA.
