Joan M. Coyne

Joan M.Coyne, 78, of Farmington, NH, formerly a 76 year resident of Norwood, passed away suddenly, Saturday, January 31, 2015. Born in Worcester on April 19, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Bridget (Clougherty) Divine, the beloved wife of the late Mark F. Coyne, Jr. , the loving mother of Barbara and her husband, Kevin Lamb of Hampstead, NH, Thomas Coyne of Norwood, and Joan and her husband, Gregory Chisholm of Florida: the cherished grandmother, known to them as “Nana Pickles,” of Christine and her husband, Shawn Bragg with whom she lived in Farmington, NH, John Spartichino, of Hampstead, and Jennifer and her husband, Robert Saia of Chelmsford; the great-grandmother of Olivia, Natalie, Cora, Lillian and Gary; the dear sister of the late Anna Morris, Mary Letts, and Barbara and Daniel Divine; and the aunt of several nieces and nephews. Joan worked as a dietary aide at Charlwell House Nursing Home in Norwood for 29 years until her retirement in 2002. She was loved by ,and she cared for, many; and always went the extra mile to help someone. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 6th, at 9:00 AM from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 5th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
