Joan Pedersen

Joan (Mulvehill) Pedersen of Norwood, passed away on Friday October 3, 2025 at age 87.

Born in Norwood, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (Carey) Mulvehill. Joan worked for over forty years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with the Division of Unemployment Assistance.

Joan was the beloved wife of the late Theodore Pedersen, and the devoted mother of Lisa and her husband Robert Brown of Walpole, Lynne Pedersen of Norwood, and the late Robert Pedersen. She was the sister of Marie and her husband Peter O'Brien of Norwood. Joan was the proud grandmother of Allison and her husband Larry Amara of Wrentham, Eric Brown and his wife Heather of Walpole, Alissa and her husband Brooks Robinson of Mansfield, the late Michael and his surviving wife Meghan Brown of Martha's Vineyard, and great-grandmother of Miles, Calvin, Liam, Savannah, Cally, Dylan, Sonny, Soleil, Chloe, and Vivian. Joan was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will gather in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD on Friday October 10, 2025 beginning at 10 AM, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Norwood at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Joan's memory to the MSPCA-Angell Memorial, 350 So. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, Msss. 02130.
