In Loving Memory

John M. Donnelly of Sharon, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family at BMC Brighton on Saturday, May 16th, 2026. He was 67.

John was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 24th, 1959. He was the son of the late John and Marie A. Donnelly (Davis). John was raised in Norwood, serving as an altar server at Saint Timothy’s Church. John graduated from Norwood High School.

John was a hard worker, having worked for over two decades as a lead technician at Polaroid in Norwood. John also entered the trades as a licensed technician and insulation assistant. John was able to identify dangerous situations, smart and tough enough to protect those he was working with. John’s interests included karate, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and spending time with his grandchildren, family and close friends.

John was a devoted father to Sherry Bruneault (Donnelly) and her husband Dan Bruneault of Fitchburg, MA and Michelle Munns (Donnelly) and her husband James Munns of Cumberland, RI. He was the loving brother of Billy Donnelly and wife Michelle of FL. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren Conner T. Donnelly and Charlotte A. Munns, and two nieces Katherine Russ and her husband Garth Russ and Brittany Lewis-Donnelly and her husband Dave Lewis. John will be forever remembered as a good friend and a good man.

Those who knew John knew him as good-natured, humorous and caring.

Arrangements were made with the assistance of the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt.1A) NORWOOD.
