Mr. John J. McLaughlin Sr.

passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Boston, son of the late Neil and Mary (McLaughlin)

McLaughlin; devoted father of six children he shared with

Marie McLaughlin of Plymouth. John J. McLaughlin Jr. and his

wife Mary Kay of Scituate, Dianne M. McLaughlin of Norwood,

Annemarie Charbonneau and her husband Joseph of Harwich,

Michael W. McLaughlin and his wife Peggy of Dorchester,

Joseph T. McLaughlin of Rozzie and his partner Jane Isnor, and

Janice Spinney and her husband James of Intervale, NH;

brother of Charlie McLaughlin, and George McLaughlin and his

wife Ann of Centerville, Anna Nilson of Onset, and the late Kay

O’Connell and Mary and Chris McLaughlin ; also survived by 18

loving grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces

and nephews. As a proud “Papa”, John enjoyed his Grand and

Great Grandchildren immensely.

A graduate of Jamaica Plain HS Class of 1952 and a retired employee of the MBTA.

John was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and member of Red Sox Nation.

Funeral Wednesday Sept. 23t 10AM from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt.

1A) Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood at 11. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury.
